Crime scene cleanup training can be extensive for new employees. At Spaulding Decon we provide comprehensive training for new employees and franchisees alike.
Our training for new employees typically begin with classroom training. In the class room we discuss safety procedures, how to handle the paperwork for the client, how to donn and doff a respirator and other PPE, blood borne pathogen training, and identification of tools and equipment. After the employee has attended the classroom training we move to our hands on training room. These training rooms are designed to be a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen. The rooms are designed to replicate an actual scene. We utilize pigs blood to simulate the smell, and visual aspect of human blood. During the hands on training we can instruct new hires and franchisees on how to properly handle biohazard material, how to decontaminate several different types of surfaces.
After the extensive classroom training and the hands on training we then take the employee to a real life job where they can use their practical skills. Less than 50% of our candidates make it through our crime scene cleanup training at Decon University. The training is challenging and physically demanding.
